One-piece versus two-piece macerating toilets
The visible ceramic configuration affects cleaning, handling and room fit; the pump location and discharge design determine whether the bathroom can actually work.

A one-piece bowl and tank can present fewer exterior seams, but its assembled weight and shape may complicate movement into a basement. A two-piece toilet can be easier to carry in parts and may offer more installation flexibility; neither label guarantees easier pump maintenance.
