24-inch versus 36-inch bathroom vanities

The nominal width is only a starting point. Door swing, drawer clearance, countertop overhang and the space around the toilet determine whether a vanity feels usable.

A 24-inch cabinet may preserve circulation in a powder room; a 36-inch cabinet can provide more counter and storage space where the room allows it. Check the actual finished width and depth on the product drawing.

Compare the specifications that matter

Measure the distance from the adjacent toilet centerline, door trim and shower enclosure. Mark the proposed cabinet footprint on the floor and simulate opening every door and drawer.
